Anik Giguère is a professor in the Department of Family Medicine and Emergency Medicine at Université Laval in Quebec City. She is also a researcher at the VITAM Research Centre on Sustainable Health and the Quebec Centre of Excellence on Ageing (CEVQ). Originally trained in basic sciences, she then specialized in health care, particularly knowledge translation and shared decision-making. As a certified trainer with the Cochrane Collaboration, she helps build the capacity of researchers and students in systematic review and decision aid development. With a track record spanning since 2013, she has authored more than 25 patient decision aids, exploring user engagement during their development. Her team's work includes the validation of printable and interactive patient decision templates known as Decision Box. Anik Giguère is currently focused on linking technology and shared decision-making, harnessing the potential of artificial intelligence to harmonize research, empathy-driven care, and innovative solutions to improve global healthcare.
